REFLEXOLOGY PRINCIPLES

Reflexology is the application of pressure techniques to the feet, hands or ears to affect another part of the body. These techniques stimulate pressure sensors (nerve endings), triggering a relaxation response.  Reflexology encourages improved health by relieving stress, improving circulation and easing pain, thereby improving quality of life.  By repeatedly stimulating reflex points, the entire body benefits from new sensory input, creating a response through the CNS (central nervous system) which decreases stress and encourages homeostasis (balance).
